EA Access, Origin Access rebranded as EA Play

EA Access and Origin Access have today been rebranded as EA Play, the same moniker the publisher has used for livestreams.

EA Play will offer two subscription tiers: EA Play and EA Play Pro. The latter service provides extra content for new EA titles alongside early access to some. Moreover, EA Play Pro subscribers will get a larger Vault, providing access to more games.

Both services will also offer up themed challenges which will provide rewards including cosmetic in-game items.

EA Play will officially launch in 18 August (or 19 August here in Australia, most likely). We’ll keep you informed as we learn more. For the moment, EA or Origin Access is available on Windows PC via Origin and Xbox One; a release on PC via Steam is coming soon.
