Dying Light 2 gets free last- to current-gen upgrade

Hurrah!

Dying Light 2 will offer players a free last- to current-gen upgrade on both Xbox and PlayStation, Techland has today advised.

The Xbox versions of the title will support Smart Delivery, seamlessly moving a player between Xbox One and Xbox Series S & X iterations of the title, while a free upgrade will be offered on PS5 to PS4 owners.

Moreover, Techland has confirmed that the title will be playable in co-op in everything but its prologue, with cross-platform and cross-generation play coming after launch.

In co-op (when available), “all session guests can keep their acquired items and player progression” and “important choices in the game can be made by all players through voting, but the host of the session has the final choice,” Techland asserted.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 from 4 February 2022.
