Downloadable DS games will be My Nintendo rewards on 3DS

MyNintendo (via Vooks) reports today that downloadable DS games will be offered as My Nintendo rewards on the handheld 3DS.

WarioWare Touched! is currently available on the Japanese My Nintendo rewards scheme for 1,000 Platinum Points, the currency used inside Nintendo’s new loyalty program.

The DS titles offered through the scheme appear to work exactly as their DSiWare counterparts, meaning they’re not emulated via Virtual Console. They’d then work exactly as the original game did, meaning there aren’t extra save points via VC.

We’ll have more on this as it becomes available.wariowaretouched1
