DOOM on Switch runs at 30 FPS, has 9GB multiplayer download

DOOM on Switch will run at a solid 30 frames per second (FPS) publisher Bethesda recently confirmed.

“The game and rendering technology underlying DOOM is extremely scalable. In bringing DOOM to Switch, we targeted outstanding visuals at a solid 30 fps and by maintaining a consistent 30 fps, the experience remains consistently fluid and smooth,” a Bethesda rep confirmed with Glixel.

The rep also confirmed that DOOM will run in 720p when docked.

The rep also confirmed that while DOOM will fit on a 16GB Switch cartridge, and that’s achieved through the requirement to have multiplayer components downloaded after purchase. Said multiplayer content weighs in at 9GB.

DOOM heads to Switch on 10 November. It’s already available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
