Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze heads to Switch this year

The Wii U’s Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be re-released on Switch, Nintendo recently announced.

The 2014 platformer will largely be a port of the Wii U title, though a new mode featuring Funky Kong will be added. Said mode is “beginner-friendly” — players have a hover move and double jump alongside infinite rolls and underwater corkscrews.

The Switch version of the game will also provide local co-op multiplayer via Joy-Con controls.
