Dockless Switch bundle won’t be available in the west

Update: Nintendo Australia has also confirmed we won’t be seeing the dockless bundle here.

“We have no plans to release this in our region,” a Nintendo Australia representative told Stevivor. “Different regions make different decisions based on a variety of factors.”

Original story: A dockless Nintendo Switch bundle won’t be making its way to the west, Nintendo has confirmed.

The bundle — containing a Nintendo Switch handheld gamepad and two Joy-Cons — has been confirmed as a Japan-only offer.

“This is in Japan only. We have no plans to release this in our region,” a Nintendo UK representative has confirmed. “Different regions make different decisions based on a variety of factors.”

A Nintendo of America representative added that it has “no plans to release this configuration in the Americas.”

We’ve asked Nintendo Australia for comment, but it seems unlikely, eh? We’ll keep you updated.

Do you use your Switch dock for TV play, or are you mostly a handheld gamer?
