The Division 2 Control Point gameplay is right here

Stevivor has a good chunk of gameplay from Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 to share with you all this morning.

You’re welcome to watch as a rag-tag team of Division agents (aka, four Aussie journos) made their way to the crash site of the famous Air Force One and tried to wrestle control of the location from the hands of a local faction. Events like the one we’ve described are known as Control Point encounters in the upcoming sequel.

Oh, and spoiler alert: we were pretty awful at the start there. Stick with us — we get better.

The gameplay is from my perspective; as you’ll see, I was armed with a fantastic signature weapon that shot out a cloud of volatile chemicals. Any member of my team could shoot said cloud to cause it to erupt, engulfing those in its radius in damaging flame. It was neat.

Check it out below:

Notice how the grass would be trampled as we ran over it? Ubisoft is getting quite a bit out of The Division 2‘s Snowdrop engine, and it’s the little details that impressed us the most.

Once you manage to take over a Control Point, you’re not done yet — you’ll then be tasked to gather materials to support the civilians that will remain on the spot and act as backup. It’s a living world, that Washington, DC.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in March 2019. For all we know about the game, head here.
