Divinity Original Sin 2 PC players get free upgrade

Those who own Divinity Original Sin 2 on PC will be upgraded to Divinity Original 2 – Definitive Edition for free, developer Larian Studios has confirmed.

Larian made the confirmation as a comment on a Facebook post, responding, “That, they do” to a fan’s comment that read, “I sincerely hope owners of this simply divine game get this as a free upgrade on GOG.”

PC players will receive the free update on 21 August, when Divinity Original 2 – Definitive Edition becomes available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Earlier this week, Larian confirmed that Divinity Original 2 – Definitive Edition will become available on Xbox Game Preview today, offering Xbox One players the chance to play the title free for three hours.
