Google lets you catch Pokémon in today’s Google Maps update

Not one to be outdone by others on April Fools’ Day, Google has updated their popular Google Maps app on iOS and Android so you can catch Pokémon in it.

No joke.

One hundred and fifty Pokémon are scattered throughout the world. A number are sitting around Sydney’s Circular Quay, above, and surrounds, with other users finding the pocket monsters at the Empire State Building, Mount Everest and more.

We haven’t found any in Melbourne yet, unfortunately.

Once you’ve located a Pokémon, you simply tap it to capture and add to your Pokédex.

Tell us where you’ve spotted Pokémon in the comments, below! Otherwise, there’s a handy Reddit thread that does the same here.
