The Diversion: Has something happened to Watch Dogs?

With the announcement of Watch Dogs‘ release date alongside a new game trailer, Twitter is abuzz with people questioning the visual appearance of the game.

A .gif originating on DeviantArt has been passed around, showing a sequence from the game circa 2012 and a similar sequence circa 2014.

You’ll be surprised which one is which.

The nicer-looking sequenece is allegedly from 2012, and the less-pretty one allegedly from 2014.

What do you think of the above? Has Ubisoft pulled a bait and switch, or are gamers jumping to conclusions?
