Bethesda will make Skyrim ports if we keep buying ’em

Todd Howard has said that Bethesda will continue to make Skyrim ports if we keep buying them.

“Even now, the amount of people who play Skyrim seven years later; millions of people every month are playing that game,” Howard said to Geoff Keighley at Gamelab (via Games Industry).

“That’s why we keep releasing it. If you want us to stop releasing it, stop buying it.”

Makes sense, really.

Bethesda is leaning into the joke — at E3 2018, it announced Skyrim‘s Very Special Edition, a version of the game running on Amazon Alexa.

Best yet? That Alexa version actually exists.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is available now on Windows PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Switch, Amazon Alexa.
