Alan Wake 2’s Herald of Darkness now available

Rock out with the Old Gods of Asgard.

Alan Wake 2‘s Herald of Darkness is now available on major streaming services… and has a fantastic new music video to go along with it.

As featured inside Alan Wake 2 — and we’ll say no more at this point to save you from potential spoilers (beyond the song and video below, that is— you can stream various versions of the song alongside its music video. We’ll embed everything below for easy access.

There are three versions of Herald of Darkness, depending on what you’re after: the full version (13 minutes long), a video edit (8 minutes long), and a radio edit (4 minutes long).

If listening isn’t enough and you want to see the Poets of the Fall (aka the Old Gods of Asgard) alongside Sam Lake as Alex Casey, Ilkka Villi & Matthew Poretta as Alan Wake, and David Harewood as Mr Door rocking out to the song, look no further.

Crazily enough, Remedy’s recently disclosed that Herald of Darkness — and its larger “We Sing” chapter — were almost cut from the game.

Alan Wake 2 is now available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5; we reviewed it here and had a chance to speak to Remedy’s Sam Lake and Kyle Rowley about it here.
