Disintegration will offer earned, paid cosmetic items

While Disintegration, the new sci-fi third-person shooter with RTS functionality from V1 Interactive, will have microtransactions the developer isn’t sure how they’ll be balanced with cosmetic items that can be earned through play.

Speaking to Stevivor about Disintegration‘s upcoming technical betas, V1 Interactive Creative Director Marcus Lehto confessed the intricate details had yet to be worked out.

“We have buckets of [cosmetic] items that are given out every week; we’ll be adding to those… post-launch,” Lehto said. The cosmetic items in question can be earned or purchased and cover everything from player skins to new skins for the grav-cycle that you’ll use to command legions of troops from the sky.

V1 Entertainment has previously confirmed that Disintegration will not have any type of loot box functionality.

Disintegration was announced back in July 2019; two technical betas will take place from next week, followed by an open beta.
