Disappointed about Alien Blackout? An Alien MMO is in the works.

An Alien MMO is in development, FoxNext and Cold Iron Studios today confirmed.

The news comes from the (rather disappointing) reveal of Alien: Blackouta new mobile title starring Alien: Isolation‘s Amanda Ripley.

“FoxNext Games’ studio, Cold Iron Studios, is also currently at work on a massively multiplayer online shooter set in the Alien cinematic universe for consoles and PC,” the publisher advised as part of the announcement. No further details were provided.

So there you go — while we don’t have a title, nor a release date, for Cold Iron Studios’ upcoming Alien game, we know it exists. That’s better news than a mobile game announcement, eh?

We’ll have more on the Alien MMO as it’s made available. For more on Alien: Blackout, head here.
