Dino Crisis now a standalone purchase on PS4, PS5

Locked behind PlayStation Plus no more.

The original Dino Crisis is now available as a standalone purchase on PS4 and PS5, no longer locked behind the highest tier PlayStation Plus subscription.

While Aussies can play the title as part of their PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription, those who’d like to guarantee ownership of the title — well, as much as you can as a digital purchase, anyway — can now do so for the price of $14.95 AUD.

“This title has been converted from the PlayStation version to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles and provides newly added features,” the game’s PlayStation Store listing reads. “Consequently, there may be times where the title plays differently from the PlayStation version, or where some features may cause the title to not function properly. This version does not support the PlayStation console’s peripherals, therefore some functionality may not be available.”

Fans were incredibly dismayed when they couldn’t purchase the title outright upon its (re)debut in October of this year, so this should be some incredibly welcome news.

Dino Crisis originally was released on the original PlayStation; it’s now available on PS4 and PS5.
