Dino Crisis remaster: No conversations happening at Capcom right now

Capcom isn’t working on a Dino Crisis reboot or remaster, Resident Evil 7 Producer Masachika Kawata has confirmed.

With seemingly endless re-releases of Resident Evil 4Resident Evil and a remastered Resident Evil 2 on the way, a remastered Dino Crisis doesn’t seem out of line. Sadly, it’s not yet to be, Kawata said to the Daily Star.

“I think if you were to create Dino Crisis with modern gaming technology it would be a really exciting prospect,” Kawata admitted.

Kawata said there’s “a hope… in my heart” that Capcom will greenlight a Dino Crisis reboot, but right now, “there’s not currently any conversations happening… that I’m aware of.”

Capcom has said it is focusing on renewing past IP. One franchise, Marvel vs. Capcom, has recently re-released Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on current-gen and will also receive a new entry in the form of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
