Dino Crisis 1 and 2 now available on GOG as remastered PC titles

Yay!

Hot on the heels of availablilty on PlayStation, the original Dino Crisis (and, as a bonus, its sequel) are now available on PC via GOG.

“We’ve listened – and now, the legendary Dino Crisis is back, fully playable on modern PCs,” GOG proclaimed. “Thanks to the tremendous efforts of Capcom and GOG, Regina’s iconic line, ‘You’re extinct!’ no longer applies to the game itself. The timeless thriller that defined a generation of gamers is made to last forever, enhanced for today’s systems, featuring all the original content you loved with numerous improvements.”

You can purchase the titles — or either title — using the links below:

The remasters were made possible through something GOG calls its “Dreamlist”, a tool that lets players nominate and vote for older games they’d like to see preserved by GOG. The company launched the preservation tool back in November 2024 and started with Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3.

“A high number of votes shows strong interest, which influences both GOG and IP owner,” GOG said, “However, we can’t guarantee that every highly-voted game will be released.”

GOG added that it can’t update players on the status of IP being nominated in the tool.

“Currently, we can’t share the business status of a game before its release, as it could affect negotiations with IP owners. However, we’re working on a feature that will let you track the games you’ve voted for once they’re released.”
