Digital copies of AFL Evolution 2 coming to Xbox One, PS4 early

Digital copies of AFL Evolution 2 will release on Xbox One and PS4 a week early to try to fill the void left by the coronavirus.

“We have been listening to your pleas for an earlier release for AFL Evolution 2 to help fill the current sporting void and have worked hard to try and make that happen,” an update on Facebook reads.

“In an effort to help reduce physical contact, disc copies of AFL Evolution 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will only be available initially through online retail store orders. AFL Evolution 2 will also be available digitally on the PlayStation and Microsoft stores. Both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will now be releasing a week early on the 16th of April.”

Bad news for Switch players, though.

“The Nintendo Switch version of AFL Evolution 2 is set to release on the 14th of May,” the release continues. “It will also be available physically through online retail stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop.”

The news comes after the current AFL season has been put on hold due to the coronavirus, COVID-19.

A product of Tru Blu Entertainment and Wicked Witch Software, expect AFL Evolution 2 digitally on Xbox One and PS4 from 16 April. A Windows PC release will follow afterward, as will its Switch release.
