Destiny’s “Rise of Iron”: Raid, special events detailed

Bungie today detailed a bunch of Destiny‘s “Rise of Iron” details, including specifics on its new Raid.

Said Raid is called Wrath of the Machine, and was detailed via GameInformer.

As part of the September update, Destiny‘s Light cap will increase to 385, then to 400 when Wrath of the Machine’s Hard mode is introduced.

New items called Ornaments will also be introduced with the update, allowing players to change the cosmetic appearance of armor and Exotic weapons. It’s assumed like they’ll function like current shaders, but that’s not been confirmed.

A “Rise of Iron” Record Book — much like the Moments of Triumph book currently available — will also be introduced, allowing Guardians to track their in-game achievements. That’s a lowercase “a”, by the way, so don’t necessarily connect it to new gamerscore.

Finally, Bungie confirmed that events like Sparrow Racing and the Festival of the Lost will make reappearances in the new content. Expect racing and new Festivals to celebrate specific dates in Destiny‘s calendar.

We’ll have more on Destiny’s “Rise of Iron” as it becomes available. The content itself will drop in September on Xbox One and PS4.
