Destiny’s matchmaking to concentrate on quality over ability

Destiny will soon receive changes to its matchmaking system.

The changes basically undo previous changes made in December 2015, after players noticed (and complained of) lag.

“Lord Saladin’s battle for the Spark will feature new matchmaking settings that will assign more emphasis to connection quality,” Bungie’s DeeJ wrote in a new blog post.

DeeJ pointed out that the revamped system will give “some consideration” to matching Guardians with “worthy adversaries.”

The changes go into effect late tonight.
