Destiny: We think we know when the next big expansion will be released

Eurogamer has recently reported on a curious Destiny Reddit post and follow-up occurrence that seems to date the game’s next large expansion.

It all started with a Reddit user named Rezyl Azzir posting a guide to the Prison of Elders’ newest Dead Ghost location, alongside a full Challenge of Elders walkthrough, a mere sixteen minutes after Destiny’s content update was released.

The plot thickens; the post was removed almost immediately. That didn’t stop clever users from recording the message, written in Latin, that accompanied the other content.

That message read, “Vegisima die mensis noni. ILLUD est venturus. Per Audacia ad astra.” It translates to “The twentieth day of the ninth month. IT is coming. Forward, to the stars.”

While not confirmed, of course, this has many believing that we’ll see Destiny‘s next big expansion on 20 September.

Adding more weight to the cast is the fact that “The Taken King”, Destiny’s last large expansion, also was released in September.

We’ll keep you updated.
