Destiny: “Large new expansion” coming this year

As part of an earnings report, Activision today confirmed that Destiny will receive a “large new expansion” in 2016.

Destiny has received a bunch of smaller updates since its last major release, “The Taken King”. Those small updates have some in the form of small events like Crimson Days, currently running now.

Activision has confirmed that work is ongoing for a proper sequel, Destiny 2. That’s expected in 2017.
