Destiny: Guardians on last-gen need to import to current-gen for legacy Destiny 2 emblems

Destiny players on Xbox 360 and PS3 will need to import their characters to Xbox One and PS4 if they’d like legacy emblems inside Destiny 2.

Developer Bungie confirmed the news as part of its weekly update, saying the import must be done before a player logs into Destiny 2.

The import is relatively simple, though an FAQ is here — users will need a copy of Destiny on the same console family they were playing on last-gen.

Players of the original Destiny will receive up to seven legacy emblems in Destiny 2, depending on their progress.

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 6 September, followed by a release on Windows PC on 24 October. A beta starts on 18 July on PS4, 19 July on Xbox One, and at a later date on Windows PC.
