Destiny: Bungie wishes PlayStation exclusives would stop, but they’ll continue

Speaking with IGNDestiny Executive Producer Scott Taylor and Game Director Christopher Barrett spoke of PlayStation-exclusive in-game items and how they affected Guardians on Xbox.

“We love Xbox players. We love PS4 players,” Taylor said. “The way we look at it, we try to deliver complete experiences [on both], and have extra content on the PlayStation.”

“If it was up to me,” added Barrett, “I would love to give everybody everything. These are things that have been worked out with our publishers and stuff like that, so we focused on ‘Rise of Iron’. And we wanted to make sure we could give as much content as we could to both platforms.”

Looks like PlayStation-exclusive content is here to stay, at least for a while. Exclusives issued to PlayStation Guardians in “The Taken King” will still be inaccessible to Xbox players with next week’s “Rise of Iron” expansion.
