Destiny 2 will run at 30 frames per second on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X

Destiny 2 will be locked to 30 frames per second (fps) on all consoles including the beefed-up PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, Bungie’s Luke Smith recently confirmed.

“It’s 30 frames per second on all consoles,” Smith told Geoff Keighley, then stressing that the PC version of the game will have an uncapped frame rate.

Interestingly enough, Smith didn’t detail the resolution that will be offered on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Microsoft detailed the Xbox One X at E3 2017 earlier in the week. It’s a console capable of true 4K gaming… but apparently, not 60fps with Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4 and PS4 Pro on 6 September, followed by a release on Windows PC from 26 October.
