Destiny 2: The Crucible’s Control gets a game-altering change

Destiny 2‘s Control mode will see some changes, developer Bungie has confirmed.

In a recent IGN First segment, Bungie revealed that Control matches will start with each team in control of one of the map’s three points. This is a drastic change from Destiny, where all three points were uncapped. Bungie said that a usual match saw one team taking control of points A and C, while the other made a mad dash to point B.

This new system should lead to balanced, aggressive gameplay — theoretically, everyone in the new 4v4 matches will be making a beeline to the single, uncapped point.

What do you think of the change?

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 6 September, followed by Windows PC on 24 October. A beta begins on console next week.
