Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes event is now live

The Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes event is about to kick off, and to celebrate, developer Bungie has released a new trailer and several new screenshots.

Starting up at 3.00am AEST tomorrow, 1 August and running through to 29 August, Solstice of Heroes will celebrate the game’s past and provides Guardians with the chance to earn 400 Light level armour.

A (hard to miss) Statue of Heroes will feature at the center of the Tower. It’ll help track event progress but also provide players with Scorched armour at Light level 240. Guardians will have the opportunity to level that to 340, then 400 by completing a series of objectives.

The event also brings Redux missions into the fold, remixed versions of classic Destiny 2 story missions.

Finally, the event will finalise the Moments of Triumph system, giving in-game (and real-life) rewards to those who complete further objectives.

Are you excited about Destiny 2’s Solstice of Heroes event?

Destiny 2 is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Destiny 2 Forsaken heads to all available platforms in September.
