Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2021 event brings new goodies

It's time to shine, Guardians.

The Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2021 event was today detailed by Bungie and will run betweeen 7 July and 4 August 2021 here within Australia.

The event will once again return Guardians to the European Aerial Zone “in search of glory and treasure,” according to Bungie.

For those unaware, the EAZ will offer up three-player matchmade mayhem, with players tasked to eliminate bosses and scour the map for Solstice Packages and Key Fragments. Said Key Fragments can be turned in for Solstice Packages which hold a number of themed armor, weapons, materials and rerolls of the new Compass Rose Shotgun. The event will also offer up a new Exotic Ghost Shell and emblem.

As per usual, subclass-themed bounties will help you to earn rewards, and armour glows make their triumphant return. For a taste of what to expect, check out the trailer below.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia. It’s also on Xbox Game Pass.
