Destiny 2 Prestige Raid exploit can’t be fixed yet, so play away

The Destiny 2 Prestige Raid exploit can’t be fixed as yet, developer Bungie has confirmed, so it will release the mode to Guardians next week regardless.

This means Bungie’s putting in measures to be able to award “First Finished” honours to the fireteam that does it without using the exploit, while most of us will just be happy it remains a potential strategy in the 300 Power activity.

The Prestige Raid was already delayed by one week to the exploit could be patched.

“An exploit was discovered that could cast doubt on the legitimacy of the fireteam who captures the coveted title of World First. We have been working on a fix, but the short-term solution contains too much risk. The last thing we want to do is fix an exploit some players are using, only to break other parts of the game for everyone. Because of this, we are pushing the fix off to a later date,” Bungie detailed today.

In other news, Bungie confirmed that Raid Challenges will return to the mix from next week as well. Raid Challenges, along with the Prestige Raid, will be available from 19 October at 4.00 am AEDST.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Xbox One and PS4. It heads to PC later this month.
