Destiny 2 PC datamine reveals new locales, DLC details

A Destiny 2 PC datamine has uncovered potential new settings and situations for Bungie’s action shooter.

Datamined by Redditor TheEcumene, there are plenty of references to characters and locations not yet seen in Destiny 2.

First, there are voice lines that references Ganymede and The Myriad, locations not seen in Destiny or its new sequel. Additional voice lines refer to Mercury and Shiro-4, and appear to tie into the game’s first bit of DLC, “The Curse of Osiris”.

Additional voice lines reference Osiris’ return to the Tower alongside a multitide of original locations like Mars, the Dreadnaught, Old Russia and even the Prison of Elders.

Events like Festival of the Lost and Crimson Days — both part of the original Destiny — are mentioned, perhaps heralding their return on next-gen consoles and PC.

Finally, the last bunch of voice lines seem like they relate to Destiny 2‘s second piece of DLC, and involved the Warmind, Rasputin. It’s likely that Phobos plays a part in the DLC, as well as Lord Saladin. Though, it needs to be said that this is all speculation.

Destiny 2 is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
