Destiny 2 open beta extended to Wednesday; client available today only

The Destiny 2 open beta has been extended to Wednesday here in Australia, Bungie has confirmed.

The beta — meant to finish at 4.00 am AEST today, has been extended until 11.00 am AEST on Wednesday, 26 July.

The only caveat is that the game’s beta client will only be available until 10.00 am AEST today — click here to see that time in your own timezone.

Sadly, you won’t get another chance to check out social space The Farm (at least, as far as we know); that took place between 3.00 am – 4.00 am AEST this morning. The extension does give you a chance to try out all of the game’s Exotic weapons and armour sets though.

We’ve updated our Destiny 2 beta guide accordingly.

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 6 September, followed by a release on Windows PC on 24 October. As we’ve mentioned, a beta is also planned for PC.
