Destiny 2 isn’t 30fps on Xbox One X to simply match frame rates on the PS4 Pro

Destiny 2 is 30 frames per second on the powerful Xbox One X because it’s been optimised for that, Bungie’s Mark Noseworthy has confirmed.

Noseworthy rebuked claims that Destiny 2 will run at 30fps simply because that’s the frame rate on Sony’s competing console, the PS4 Pro.

The game has an uncapped frame rate on Windows PC.

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 6 September, followed by a delayed release on Windows PC on 26 October.
