Destiny 2 has “meaningful features that are bespoke” for PC, Activision says

Destiny looks to have some special surprises in store for Guardians on PC.

“With respect to PC, we’re committed to deliver meaningful features that are bespoke for the PC community,” Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said in a recent earnings call.

“I’m really excited about what we have to show for them, but I’m gonna leave the details of those for our gameplay premiere event, which is happening on May 18th, and we’ll have exciting announcements on the game at that time as well.”

Destiny 2 will be the first time the franchise heads to the platform, much to the delight of PC players around the world. The sequel is set after a Cabal invasion of Earth’s Last City, and Activision Blizzard’s latest reveal event invitation mentions “a world without light”, meaning big changes are planned. Taking place in LA, the event will also be livestreamed later this month.

We’ll have more on Destiny 2 as it becomes available. The game is planned for an 8 September release on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
