Destiny 2 Guardian Games event kicks off next week

A special Destiny 2 Guardian Games event was detailed by Bungie ahead of its debut next week.

“Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks will compete to prove which class is the most dedicated in Destiny 2,” Bungie advised. “Your entry into the competition begins with a visit to Eva Levante. Each Guardian will receive a class item to adorn while taking part in competition. Bronze, silver, and gold medals will be available to earn daily, each of which will focus on specific game modes. To earn medals, equip your new class item, defeat enemies, pick up laurels on the battlefield, and advance your quest for the medals you desire.”

As the event continues, classes will have their Cloak, Mark or Bond reflect their position, adorned in gold, silver or bronze. Bungie acknowledged that classes aren’t balanced, so there will be handicaps at play (we’re looking at you, Hunters).

Finally, a new Exotic Machine Gun will be available during the event, which kicks off at 3.00 am AEST on 22 April.

Destiny 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Stadia where available.
