Destiny 2 free to play on PS4 this weekend

Destiny 2 goes free to play this weekend on PS4, Bungie today confirmed.

Interested Guardians are able to pre-load the game today for access this weekend. The free play period starts at 5.01 pm AEST on Saturday, 30 June (or check your own timezone here) and ends at 3.00 pm AEST on Tuesday, 3 July (or check your own timezone here).

The 70 hour trial will give PS4 players the opportunity to play through the full Destiny 2 campaign alongside the PvP Crucible. All progress will carry over into the retail game should players decide to purchase the game.

Unlike a recent trial on Xbox One that required Xbox Live Gold, it looks like Guardians won’t need PlayStation Plus to access this trial on PS4.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
