Destiny 2 Forsaken HDR settings are off, Bungie confirms

Destiny 2 Forsaken HDR settings are being investigated by Bungie after players have complained that it’s way too hard to see in dark areas.

“I have a Sony HDR TV and prior to the big 2.0 update the vibrancy and brightness levels were great,” Redditor ChiefBr0dy wrote. “But now I am constantly struggling to find my way in darker areas such as tunnels and caves. Altering the HDR brightness settings in game doesn’t help and it only makes my image look washed out.

“It isn’t just caves either – even the outdoor areas seem significantly darker overall that they were prior to the update. Contrast seems to be completely borked.”

We’ve encountered the same issues ourselves in our Forsaken playthroughs.

Thankfully, Bungie’s already on it.

“Our team is aware of the issue, actively investigating,” Community Manager Dylan ‘dmg04’ Gafner replied. “We’ll provide more info when possible.”

We’ll let you know when a fix is in place for Forsaken‘s dark HDR settings.

Destiny 2 Forsaken is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
