Destiny 2 delayed on PC because Bungie wants to do it right

Destiny 2 is delayed on PC because Bungie wants to make sure it’s done right, it today confirmed.

“We want to make sure that we’re building a product that we feel is worthy of the PC gaming community,” Destiny Community Manager David ‘DeeJ’ Dague told Gamespot.

“We want to make sure that it’s a product that we’re excited to ship. We want to make sure it’s the best game that the PC can enjoy. And it’s our first time serving them in quite a long time, so we’re committed to getting that right.”

Destiny 2 is being developed by Vicarious Visions for its PC release, though Bungie has stressed it’s not “a console port.”

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4 and PS4 Pro on 6 September, followed by the delayed release on Windows PC on 26 October. The delay has an upside though — the PC version of the game will offer uncapped frame rates, compared to 30 frames per second on console.
