Destiny 2 Dawning 2020 event starts next week

Deck the Tower with boughs of holly...

Destiny 2′s holiday-themed The Dawning 2020 event will return next week, developer Bungie has confirmed.

“Even the biting chill of Europa can’t freeze the warm hearts of Guardians during this special time of year,” Bungie said in a description accompanying a new trailer (below). “Eva Levante welcomes you to the Tower to learn a new recipe, to find an unexpected gift or two, and maybe shred a rail in your tricked-out Sparrow while you’re at it. Gear up, gift up, and stay frosty, because The Dawning has returned.”

Running between 16 December and 6 January here in Australia, the event will offer up a Legendary Fusion Rifle called Glacioclasm. The Void-based weapon will be offered with random rolls.

Destiny 2 Beyond Light is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia. You can win 1 of 4 copies of the game across various platforms right here.
