Destiny 2 Beyond Light issues impact Witherhoard, bounties and Nightfall

A number of Destiny 2 Beyond Light issues were encountered over the expansion’s first weekend, leading to a number of changes across the game.

First, the Rose Hand Cannon was disabled as it was firing at 150 rounds-per-minute (RPM), as opposed to its intended metric of 140 RPM. A hotfix, 3.0.0.2, has already corrected this issue, meaning the Rose can be once again used by players.

Sadly, the Witherhoard Grenade Launcher remains out of play after it was discovered that the weapon’s burn will impact any player who steps into its area of effect permanently — well, not permanently, as they’ll die pretty much instantaneously afterward. Whoops.

Finally, issues with Moon repeatable bounties mean they’ve been temporarily disabled, and a bug within the Exodus Crash Nightfall meant it had to be swapped out for The Disgraced instead.

Destiny 2 Beyond Light is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Next-gen versions are on the way for Xbox Series S & X and PS5, but players can use backwards compatibility on those platforms while they wait.
