Destiny 2 already has two confirmed expansions

Activision Blizzard has already confirmed that Destiny 2 will offer at least two expansions.

An expansion pass, available with the Collector’s, Digital Deluxe and Limited editions of the game, will also be available as a separate purchase. It will provide access to Expansions I and II inside Destiny 2, it was today confirmed.

Not much of the expansions was detailed, but it was said they’ll offer “brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armor, and gear.”

The news comes as Activision also provided a deeper synopsis of Destiny 2‘s story.

“Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.”

Sounds epic, eh?

Destiny 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 8 September. An open beta will also be offered, with those who pre-order the game getting early access.
