Destiny 2 6v6 Crucible available in March via Iron Banner

A new Destiny 2 content roadmap has revealed 6v6 Crucible action will be available in March via the game’s Iron Banner event.

The roadmap, released yesterday in an attempt to win fans back over, lists Iron Banner 6v6 action on 27 March as part of the game’s 1.1.4 update. Also included in that update will be Weekly Crucible Playlists, including the popular Mayhem list.

Here’s what to expect, and when:

Update 1.1.3 (27 February)

  • Nightfall Scoring & High Score Tracking
  • Emblem/Aura Rework
  • Fireteam Members on Destination Map
  • PC Public Test Chat (Opt-in)
  • Exotic Repetition Reduction
  • Companion Mod/Shader Interactions
  • Companion Vendor Viewing
  • Nightfall Strike Unique Rewards*

Update 1.1.4 (27 March)

  • Weapon/Ability Sandbox Changes
  • Heroic Strike Modifiers
  • Iron Banner 6v6
  • Weekly Crucible Playlist including Mayhem
  • Crucible Ammo and Gameplay Tuning
  • Nightfall Challenge Cards
  • Crucible Quitter Penalties
  • Repeat Crucible Map/Strike Protection
  • Exotic Weapon/Armor Sandbox Changes*

Update 1.2.0 (aka Season 3, May 2018)

  • Eater of Worlds Prestige Mode
  • Seasonal Crucible Rankings
  • Private Matches
  • Vault Space Increase
  • Multi-Emote
  • Exotic Masterworks
  • Seasonal Vendor Progression
  • Faction Rallies Improvements
  • Mods System Improvements*

Items with an asterisk “are stretch goals that have a chance to slip to a later release,” Bungie advised.

There’s no denying that big changes are ahead — including much-needed Vault space — but with most of these items months away, is it too little too late? Time will tell.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
