Despite rumours, The Witcher’s CD Projekt Red is not for sale

Despite rumours, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s developer CD Projekt Red is not up for sale.

Co-founder Marcin Inwinski quashed the rumours with Eurogamer recently.

“We usually don’t comment on rumours but this one has become quite viral and we think it deserves to be put to bed,” Iwinski said. “We are not talking with anyone regarding selling CD Projekt Red or GOG.com. Period.”

A source claiming to work for CD Projekt Red recently told DSOgaming that the developer was in talks with EA in regards to a “possible takeover”. A payslip was cited in the article as well.

“The payslip is a fake – it was not issued by our company, Iwinski asserted.
