Deadpool joins Marvel Rivals as Vanguard, Duelist, Strategist

You were expecting him to fit within a norm?

Deadpool heads to Marvel Rivals later this week, able to be used as a Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist. Also, something something dat ass.

“Witty-packed banter and flashy moves aren’t all that Deadpool has to offer,” NetEase said. “Picture devastating damage output, an impenetrable shield, AND swift healing. Wait… in that case— that might actually make him the full package. Switching positions, he’s here to shake things up and take the role of a Vanguard, Strategist, and Duelist.”

Balance notes whenever Deadpool is tweaked are sure going to be something, aren’t they?

Vanguard Deadpool has that shield that NetEase referenced, while Duelist Deadpool will be able to use his sword in masterful ways. Finally, Strategist Deadpool uses his sword and gun to heal fellow teammates.

Deadpool heads to Marvel Rivals alongside season six from 17 January, which also adds a new map called Museum of Contemplation (albeit a few days later on 30 January here in Australia).

Team-ups also change, with Peni losing her team-up with Rocket, and Spider-Man losing one with Human Torch. In their place, Peni and Spider-Man will receive a new team-up, and Deadpool with Jeff the Land Shark.

Marvel Rivals is out now on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
