Dead Star goes offline after just seven months; removed from Steam and PlayStation Store

Armature’s Dead Star will soon be taken offline, after already being removed from sale on Steam and the PlayStation Store.

First available in April 2016 — and offered as a PlayStation Plus free title that same month — Dead Star goes offline from 1 November.

“We are shutting down the game because, bluntly, the costs of operating the game now exceed its income,” Armature’s Jack Mathews told Kotaku.

From 1 November, only the game’s tutorial will function.
