Dead Space 4 pitch rejected by EA, says creators

Whelp.

Dead Space 4 pitch was rejected by EA, according to the franchise’s original creators.

Speaking with Dan Allen Gaming, Dead Space creators Glen Schofield, Christopher Stone, and Bret Robbins met with EA in 2024 to discuss a potential sequel.

“We tried, actually, the three of us,” Schofield said. “Dead Space 4. We’re talking this year.”

In the same year that EA decided against a Dead Space 2 remake — despite the critical success of the Dead Space remake — it’s really no surprise a sequel was rejected.

“We didn’t go too deep,” Schofield continued. “They just said, ‘We’re not interested right now. We appreciate it blah blah blah, and you know we know who to talk to.’ So we didn’t take it any further. And we respected their opinion. They know their numbers and what they have to ship and all that.”

Despite the rejection, Stone asserted, “I’d make a Dead Space 4” — so keep up hope.

The Dead Space remake team has been moved onto Battlefield within EA.
