Dead by Daylight gets new chapter, in-game store

Dead by Daylight will celebrate its second anniversary with two major pieces of new content.

Turns out, a tease of the game’s “next big chapter” was just that — a new chapter called Curtain Call is available today in the game’s Steam public test build (PTB). In it, players are introduced to The Clown and Kate Denson. Taking place in Campbell’s Chapel, Kate is tasked simply to survive.

Moreover, a new in-game store has also been introduced to the PTB. It provides players the chance to “purchase long-awaited cosmetic items as well as some of the game characters,” a press release from Behaviour reads.

In terms of the in-game economy, Iridescent Shards will be earned through play, or Auric Cells will be available for purchase with real-world money.

“We can’t believe it’s already been two years,” Game Director, Mathieu Côté, said of the game’s anniversary. “What’s even more incredible is that this was just the beginning. We are committed to making Dead by Daylight bigger and more fun (or terrifying) in the long run.”

We’ll let you know when this new content is available in the retail versions of the game.

Dead by Daylight is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
