Want to play as Michael Myers? Better buy it soon...
Dead by Daylight‘s Halloween chapter will be removed for sale from 19 January 2026, Behaviour Interactive has recently confirmed.
Players will have the chance to pay and unlock Laurie Strode and The Shape (Michael Myers) up until 11.00 am ET on 19 January 2026. Any combination of Halloween content — the full pack or individual characters — will be playable beyond that purchase deadline, provided you pulled the trigger.
Halloween‘s Haddonfield map will be pulled from rotation as of 19 January, so those of you who haven’t picked up the House of Pain Achievement or Trophy — unlocked by repairing the generators in the Myers home — should make that priority in the next few weeks.
Character Perks will remain available for the characters, provided players have unlocked the characters ahead of Behaviour’s deadline. If not, the perks will be added to the general character pool under new names.
“As with all Live Service games, frequent updates and additions are to be expected,” Behaviour Interactive said. “With The Shape and Laurie Strode our focus continues to be ensuring that both characters legacy remains within our games for fans who have unlocked them or plan to do so before 19th January 2026.”
The delisting of certain pieces of DLC is nothing new to Dead by Daylight — the game’s Hellraiser DLC was removed in April of this year.
Dead by Daylight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Switch.
