DC Universe Xbox app coming in April

A DC Universe Xbox One app will be available this month, DC Comics has confirmed.

The app will allow DC Universe subscribers the opportunity to watch DC Comics TV shows and films on their console, alongside access to an ever-expanding library of actual DC comics. Xbox One access is expected from 15 April, DC today advised.

“Since we launched DC Universe last fall we’ve been on a mission to expand our reach on new platforms,” Sam Ades, Senior Vice President of DC Digital Services, said. “Fans asked for access to the ultimate DC membership on their Xbox One consoles and we are excited to deliver DC Universe to them starting next week. Our growing list of highly acclaimed original series, amazing library shows and thousands of comics are now accessible to DC fans and Xbox users alike.

A PS4 app wasn’t detailed, but one would assume it’s on its way… and DC almost said as much.

“DC Universe is available in the U.S. on iOS, Amazon Fire TV, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, as well as the web and mobile web, with more platforms coming soon,” a statement reads.

DC Universe provides access to a number of DC Originals including TitansYoung Justice: Outsiders and Doom Patrol, alongside upcoming titles like Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn and Stargirl. DC Universe is currently available in the United States of America; Australian access has yet to be confirmed.

Here in Australia, Titans at least is available on Netflix.
