DC Universe streaming service details TV, movie, comic offerings

DC Universe streaming service offerings, including TV shows, movies and comics, have today been detailed by DC Entertainment.

As we already knew, the Netflix-like subscription service will offer a range of new live-action TV shows including Titans (feauring Brenton Thwaites as Robin, above) and Doom Patrol alongside animated shows like Young Justice: Outsiders and Harley Quinn.

Today, we’ve learned that DC Universe will also have movies like Superman, The Dark Knight and old television shows like Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Batman: The Animated Series and Wonder Woman.

Finally, the service will also offer a “rotating, curated selection” featuring “thousands of DC comics,” a first for DC. Notable comics include some of DC’s New 52 selection alongside titles that go back to 1938.

While this sounds fabulous, the service is only planned for a US-based launch; us Aussies will be left in the lurch, it seems. Those in the States can register for potential early access using this link.

We’ll keep you up to date as we learn more of DC Universe.
