Day of the Devs returns with The Game Awards in December

It's all happening!

Day of the Devs will return for an in-person event that coincides with The Game Awards 2023 this coming December.

Day of the Devs will feautre as part of a livestreamed showcase on 6 December (7 December in Australia), and as part of a free in-person event in Los Angeles on 8 December (9 December in Australia).

“The goal of The Game Awards is to celebrate as many games as possible,” said The Game Awards’ Geoff Keighley.

“We’re excited to welcome Day of the Devs: TGA Edition to our week-long celebration of games, which will further spotlight independent games from around the world,” Keighley continued.

“It will be hard to wait the extra time until our next live show in San Francisco,” added Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine Productions and co-founder of Day of the Devs. “But we promise that because of this move, the San Francisco show will be better than ever, taking place at a time when even more folks will be in town so that they can attend in person. So now you have even more choices where to see great indie games and meet the devs who made them.”

Those indie developers looking to have their work showcased as part of the event can submit their titles for consideration right here. The deadline for applications ends on 20 September (21 September in Australia).

The Game Awards itself takes place on 7 December (8 December in Australia); Stevivor has served as a member of The Game Awards judging panel for a number of years.
